April 27: Putting some things together:
In order to try out more of this "Comments" Widget, here's some food for thought about proven physics and spirituality:
1. Jesus never mentioned anything about heaven being "up there." In fact, he always said, "the kingdom of heaven is upon you."
2. Energy can not be created nor destroyed: proof that your spirit can never truly die.
3. Watch this movie... 'nuff said...
4.
Particles of energy are constantly transferring between objects of matter. So when I shake hands with you, we literally exchange subatomic pieces of ourselves. This being true, then we are all, in a very concrete way, completely interconnected. If we also believe that God is in all things, this means we share a much more intimate and immediate relationship with the divine.
5. Conversely, we are always, incredibly, entirely alone. We are born by ourselves, and we die by ourselves. We live in our own heads...so how to we live with being completely connected, and completely alone?
6. If time is relative, then who is to say that for a spirit, a moment can be 10 second or 10 millenia. So what happens to our spirits after we've been "playing" in the spiritual (energetic) world for millenia after our deaths? I can't remember the detail of life when I was 6, although at the time, everything was completely vivid...
7. If Christ died that we might always have eternal life, maybe this all is a way for that to actually happen? Maybe this has all happened before?
Can you offer any other cool intersections of science & spirituality? |
